The hindfoot alignment radiograph, also called the Saltzman view, is an important and often underutilized technique when imaging the lower extremity. It is, therefore, my very great pleasure to introduce today’s guest editorialist, Benjamin Kamel, DPM, AACFAS. Dr Kamel practices with the Garey Orthopedic Group in Pomona, California and utilizes this imaging modality in his trauma and hindfoot reconstruction practice.
