Pairing Superabsorbent Polymer (SAP) Dressings: Winning Clinical Combinations Right Dressings, Coding, Documentation, and Payment

This Webinar focuses on selecting the right pairs of dressings that include superabsorbent polymer (SAP) dressings used as a primary or secondary dressing in wound clinics and physician and other qualified healthcare professional (QHP) offices. Alison Garten, DPM, CWSP, CPed discusses clinical examples to demonstrate the decision-making process necessary for appropriate dressing selections that may improve wound/ulcer management. Kathleen Schaum, MS discusses the importance of medical record documentation and thorough written orders 1) to ensure that patients receive the correct dressing pairs and 2) to allow the supplier to code accurately and receive correct payment. Dr Garten and Ms Schaum conclude with reviewing clinical cases demonstrating the appropriate orders, documentation, and coding.
