Podiatric Emergency Radiology - Ankle Fractures and Foot Trauma

Marlena Jbara, MD discusses normal ankle and foot anatomy as well as the normal ankle and foot X-ray views. Dr Jbara also discusses the mechanism of injury as well as the classification systems and X-ray evaluation of adult ankle fractures, adult talar, calcaneal, midfoot, base of 5th, stress, and sesamoid fractures. She also discusses pediatric ankle fractures and its differences from adult ankle pathology.

For Florida podiatrists, no more than 8 hours (20% of the hours of continuing education required per biennium) of home study programs may be credited toward the licensee’s biennial continuing education requirement for license renewal. A test must be completed and passed demonstrating competency in the topic taught in order to receive credit for the course.
