This lecture by Dr. Wukich discusses the various treatments and outcomes of charcots foot. He will identify which patients require surgery and which surgery is appropriate during each stage and location of charcot foot. He will also review various retrospective studies of different procedures and finish with a case study.

This lecture will review the principles behind 1st ray instability and discuss surgical techniques for proper correction. It will begin by defining hypermobiity and how much motion occurs in the 1st TMTJ. Next it will describe in detail Lapidus Arthrodesis . The lecture contains a step by step pictorial of the procedure as Dr. Miller narrates his preferred surgical technique. Finally, multiple case studies will be presented.
